Even if it’s nearing official summer time (omg time flies!), it still gets a little chilly here in the Bay and the weather can harsh my dress-wearing mellow. Yet, I can’t complain because then I get to wear one of my favorite accessories: a chunky scarf! This beautiful and amazing pink piece of art is handmade and was found in the hit-or-miss sale section of Anthropologie. I’m not making big bucks (yet), so I can only afford about 10% of the goodies in the sale room of this pretty store. But let me tell you, just go into the stores that you think are out of your budget—the ones you admire from afar—and check out their clearance sections and sales. You’ll be surprised at how many hidden gems they hold for you! This scarf was originally about $80+ and I got it for only about $20! And then I got it for free because I stole it! Tip of the day: five finger discount, ladies.
JUST KIDDING!! I never do that. And you should never do that. My mom actually wanted to buy it for me, and we all know you can’t beat that form of discount. Thanks mommy! Speaking of deals, these super cool sunglasses were only $5! Like what?! I need more!
For a day in the city, I paired this wonderful pink wool piece and oversized sunnies with white skinny jeans and a loose sporty top to keep the look casual. You’ll find me in some type of black heeled bootie more often than not, because I like how it dresses up most looks in an effortless way. And this outfit was no exception! Honestly, I feel more confident in a little heel, and a couple of inches is the perfect height for an easy-going day out.
