The off the shoulder look has been a trend for quite sometime now, and I don’t see it going anywhere soon! This style is kind of like last year’s lace-up flats trend; it’s super feminine, flirty, and can turn into a classic staple piece. I’ve been loving ones with crisp lines (totally chic!) and pretty ruffles (so romantic, bring out the champagne!). These tops will look perfect with your favorite pair of skinny jeans or denim shorts!
Over the years I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable wearing heels during the day—like when I’m out just running errands—rather than just saving them for special events or for a night out. The secret is to pick something with a relatively low block heel for all-day comfort! It’s also easier to pull off heels in the daytime when the heel is a bit thicker. Side note: I still need to learn how to walk in stilettos… and FYI I just realized the only heeled shoes I own are block heeled! I guess I’m a diehard fan. And luckily, wider heels don’t sacrifice on style. Plus, during the hotter months, the chunky lift adds that edgy cool factor to already feminine lace-up sandals or slip-on mules! Basically, these babies are perfect for day and night.
The wide leg pant is like the cooler sister of the maxi skirt. They provide the same airy movement, but feel more updated and chic. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good maxi, but there’s something about the billowy-ness of these pants that get me going. I think it may be the fact that they feel and wear like PJ bottoms… which proves that comfort can definitely look put-together and effortless. I need to try a wide leg trouser, so I can channel my inner sophisticated lady (or at least fake it ’till I make it!). Or maybe just rock a fun patterned one for an easy-going boho look! Nothing screams summer more than boho. Except swan pool floats and a new Pitbull/Flo Rida single.
You have to have a pair. No questions asked. In my book, it’s a required statement piece for summer! If you’ve seen this post, and follow me on Instagram, you know I’m all about dem new shades. It took me so long to narrow down the glasses I’m sharing with you guys, here on this post. THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD ONES OUT THERE. A cool pair can take an outfit from basic to super fun, like that (imagine me snapping my fingers at you, right up in your grill). Plus you are protecting your precious pupils! Good for your health and good for your stylish soul. P.S. someone please buy me the marble pairs below. But you already know, if no one follows through, I won’t hesitate to get them myself!!
You guys. I am OBSESSED with this hair scarf trend. Head scarf? Headband scarf? I don’t know. The internet calls it all types of things. I just think a big soft bow or wrap-around looks so freakin’ beautiful! Whether it be with loose waves, a messy bun, or a high pony. I heard through the grapevine, that it’s best to get a rectangular or square scarf that’s silky or sheer and not too bulky. Wow, I just sounded like the Goldilocks of hair scarves, haha! I’m just going to have to get a scarf soon to try the look out for myself. But I have to learn how to tie one first… Maybe I can learn from this video (which I’m also obsessed with; I mean, Bri from designlovefest is the bomb, obvs). Are you guys also loving the classic tied bandana look (think Rosie the Riveter)? Because I am diggin’ it. I have to put that on my hair to-do list too…
Now it’s time, LET’S GO SHOPPING!
